What do you get when you ask a photojournalist to take your photo for you? You get an example of documentary portraiture. It is an eclectic mix of style and opportunity and is generally "on location" rather than in a studio.   • While handing out supplies at a small village school, it was noticed that there were many children standing or playing around outside of the school, some of whom were even peeking into the one room school through the mud brick windows. The explanation given was that the children who were outside were not students. Their families could not afford to send them to school--with either the actual cost of schooling being prohibitive, or the cost to the family being too great a sacrifice if the child attended school instead of working in the fields.
